July 4th Barn Dance and BBQ at Theatricum Botanicum
Not one of the biggest events, but I just had to include it because it sounds like fun – an Old Fashioned Barn Dance and Barbecue will take over the woodsy cove at Will Geer’s Theatricum Botanicum in Topanga Canyon for the afternoon on July 4th.  There will be children’s games, pie-eating contest, watermelon seed-spitting contest, cake walk, horseshoes, relay races, dunk bucket and more. Barbeque and fixin’s, beer and wine available for purchase. The fun ends at 5, so there’s plenty of time to head out either side of the Canyon to find some fireworks.
